Paul Prime is a Dj and producer from Hamburg, Germany.
He is part of the 12 Drunkies family and live DJ of crewmate Dennis Real. His party series "Have A Break", which has brought him the acquaintance of many local artists, embodies a classic hip hop sound and so does this album.
For a few years he has been producing beats on an MPC2000xl himself, of which a selection has now been summarized on his first physical release blue cheese. While making heavy use of classic hiphop vocal cuts and jazz & funk samples, he adds his own touch of percussive drum layering that makes you feel like back in the nineties!

"they come for us" is my favorite track to write to and beatbox to on this album but all the tracks are hella clean and reminds me of my one trip to NY and taking the subway and seeing all the graf writing everywhere and handing random CD mixes that I made to random people back in 2002.
